Happy fall!

Hi all,
Sorry I haven't been blogging, but being a teacher, September is the worst month for me! After teaching fifth grade special ed for over 20 years, I switched to working with 3rd and kindergarteners this year. What a learning curve! They are cute and I'm having fun coming home and teaching Mark some creative K songs. I go into three different classes and am getting to know the teachers' styles. It's been challenging, but fun.

Mark and I enjoyed our time in three National Parks late in August. We hiked over half way down the Grand Canyon and back in a day. I had very sore legs to prove it. Also enjoyed Bryce and Zion and would highly recommend visiting them.

Mom continues to amaze us with her stamina. I don't know how she does the things she does. She's very social and doesn't turn down an invitation.

Hope all is well with everyone. Love, Carol

  1. Wow! Sounds like you're enjoying the new school year and the adventures that have come with it! Ask Mark to videotape you performing some of your new songs. We'd love to see it!

  2. Hi Carol and Mark...What a wonderful time you must have had at three National Parks. You were preparing yourself, Carol, for your new school year. What fun to have a change like that. Keeps you on your toes!

I want to mention to you, just in case you do not know about this author, but Nevada Barr writes all her stories about National Parks. Her character, Anna Pigeon, gets assigned as a Director, different parks. Always included are clear maps of the whole area and you can follow Anna wherever she goes. I just finished a book recently about a National Park on an island in the Keys of southern Florida. There was a lot of history and mystery involved in this particular book and very interesting. I hope you have a chance to read at least one of her books and you will be a most interested reader.

Hope all is well with you both. with Love Aunt Jean
