Flight home
Melia and I had a good flight back to California. On our brief layover in DC, JT was fortunate enough to meet Mr & Mrs Obama, photo to follow. Melia was anxious to get home to attend the midnight showing of the new Harry Potter movie with her friends so I need to stay awake so I can pick her up at 3am. It was great seeing everyone. Our short visit together had many highlights including my quality bathroom time with Allen and Aunt Jean's cycling demonstration. I look forward to reading every ones blog input.

Okay, I PROMISE I won't be a "comment-cop" but Larry, my dear, I cannot let your remark go because you hit upon one of my linguistic peeves! Melia was "eager" to go, not "anxious." Unless she was nervous about it, I don't expect there was any anxiety -- except for the fact of perhaps missing the show, in which case she was eager AND anxious!
ReplyDeleteHey Melia, how was it?? Did you make it?
And, if you're gonna get cozy with my hubby in the bathroom, you should know that his name is spelled Alan.
Love you heaps! Bette
That remark would have also been Jerry R's linguistic peeves, and thus mine as Jerry is a web-producer, and I am the "assistant to the web-producer" letting him know of mis-spellings by his co-workers, etc., and I have even caught THIS mistake. It's one many, many people make! :)
ReplyDeleteDear Larry,
ReplyDeleteUpon reflection, I see that you were writing at an hour that excuses the literary lapse. Your devotion to your daughter (not to mention your exhaustion!) supersedes all grammatical gaffes.
Penitentially yours,
Bette
Wow! JT the knome got to meet the President!! I'm sure he thought it was quite cute! Look forward to seeing the picture!
ReplyDeleteHey family!
ReplyDeleteThanks to everyone who made my stay in New York so awesome! I'm hecka excited that we will get to keep in touch on here. Our flight home was great, and I made it to Harry Potter with 2 hours to spare (I wasn't first in line, but I still got a great seat.) We had fun during our layover in Washington DC and our dear friend J.T. had even more fun! I will post the picture on the main page.
Okay...for those of us who were not in NY at what appears to be the creation of a gnome phenom....could someone tell us the story?
ReplyDeleteMelia, your Grandma told us that you had numerous projects while you were there and did a super job on each and every one! Wish I had a photo of your flower arrangement! Heard that the spanakopita was delicious! You're super!!!
